The AB0110 board mates with the AB0003 (A2B03) A2B OEM module to create an A2B root (master) node that offers buffered I/O for the I2S lines. It also includes the Molex DuraClik connectors that are standard on A2B development boards.
When combined with the AB0003 these plug on modules make interfacing to ADC and DAC EVMs via I2S and/or I2C as simple as connecting up a few jumper wires.
The AB0110 generated a SYNC clock (48 kHz) to operate the AD2428 as a root (master) device along with a jumper selected BCLK for TDM 2/4/8 mode for the I2S. No external I2S devices are needed to operate the board pair as a root (master) A2B node.
The AB0110 module can be purchased as a single board or as a EVM kit with the AB0003L A2B module, 9V power supply, and A2B cable.
The AB0106 module is for a client (slave) node and the AB0108 module is like the AB0110 but requires an external clock to operate. This scenario occurs when an ADC or DAC includes its own clock generation.
