PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
The AB1405 has 4 MEMs mics in arranged in a Y pattern with 42.5 mm arm lengths. It's bus powered and intended for use in 9V CFG0 based systems, i.e. AD242x or AD2433 based designs. It uses the standard 2 pin Molex Duraclik connectors (tan) in our other A2B products. The board uses ADI's AD2437 A2B transceiver.
To use with CFG4 (AD2437) devices (red 2 pin Molex Duraclik connector or RJ45) a AB0403 or similar adapter must be used to prevent the AB1405 from being destroyed.
The board uses four of Infineon's latest IM72D128VV microphones. These mics further improve on the earlier IM72D128V parts with lower frequency (11 Hz instead of 20 Hz -3 dB point), lower THD (0.1% vs. 0.5% at 94 dB SPL) and about half the current consumption in high performance mode.
The board include a red and green LED visible from the microphone to enable visual system status checking. An unpopulated header allows access to power (limited to AD2427 output), I2C, and GPIO to allow adding other sensors to the node. An EEPROM is available for holding local board parameters.
Software development is done with ADI's Sigma Studio tools and the A2B software stack.
Clockworks specializes in quick turn/fixed NRE variants of the standard product offerings to meet specific customer geometry and connector requirements, and are delivered with all source (Altium) files. Please contact us with your project needs.
